Join Our Team as Treasurer at the Quaker Mental Health Fund
 

Are you passionate about mental health and looking for a meaningful way to contribute your financial expertise? The Quaker Mental Health Fund, a national charity dedicated to supporting mental health work within the Quaker community, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Treasurer to join our trustee team.
 

About Us:
The Quaker Mental Health Fund plays a vital role in promoting mental health awareness, offering grants to individuals in need of support, and empowering Quaker-led projects focused on mental well-being. Our work helps Friends across the country reflect, take action, and make a positive impact in their communities.
 

Your Role:
As Treasurer, you will be essential to our mission. You will ensure our financial stability, enabling us to continue providing crucial support to individuals and projects. This is a volunteer role within our entirely volunteer-led organisation, offering a unique opportunity to make a real difference.
 

What We’re Looking For:
 

  • Essential:

    • A strong commitment to our cause and objectives.

    • A solid understanding of accountancy, with commercial awareness and knowledge.

    • Proficient IT skills.

    • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to the Board and stakeholders.

    • Analytical skills, good judgement, and an understanding of the legal responsibilities of trusteeship.

    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
       

  • Desirable:

    • Experience in charity finance practices.

    • Expertise in areas like strategic planning, business management, or legal knowledge, particularly in grant-giving or fundraising.


Time Commitment:

  • The Board meets at least 6 times annually, with two in-person meetings.

  • Trustees are expected to contribute at least 1 hour per week to their duties.
